The lack of any kind of support. their unwillingness to provide you with things to help you be more productive.

Suggestions for improvement

Pay their employees a meaningful wage.

Company Culture

This company has many various other companies throughout several states. They hire a lot of individuals with questionable past histories, (not a bad thing) but offer little pay with great expectations.

Internal Communication

Communication is poor at best.

Teamwork

Employees work well together trying to make the most from nothing.

Work-Life Balance

The only family taken into consideration is the family that owns these businesses.

Support from management

There is very little if not any support from management. employees are expected to work on equipment that management allocates from storage warehouses, that have sit idle for who knows how long and are expected to make these machines perform their primary function. There is never any spare parts or any kind of spare parts inventory. Requesting items needed to have these machines operable is always a burden, requests are often forgotten about or ignored. If a machine that is operable should break down, often times it will remain that way for long periods of time because there aren’t replacement parts, or it costs too much money to purchase OEM supplies. Often times employees learn of goals at the beginning of a shift, and receive blame for not completing goals they could have if there was better communication. Often times when suggestions are offered management exclaims, “I’m the one that makes the decisions around here”!

Freedom to work independently

This is an absolute as management is seldom seen.

Inclusive / Diverse

More often times than not, ideas and suggestions go the way of the wind, because I don’t know as much as Management seems to know.

Gender Equality

Yes women have the same opportunity as men and each have nothing.

Attitude towards older colleagues

Older people are hired but that’s where it ends.

Office / Work Environment

Work environment is extreme. In the summer months it’s incredibly hot (outside doors that are plentiful are not allowed to be opened because it interferes with the efficiency of “a” swamp cooler) and the winter months you freeze. There are only three radiant heat sources in a 500,000 square foot facility and you need to be directly beneath it to feel the effects.

Environmental Friendliness

There is a recycling program in operation, but is nullified when sawdust used for absorbing hazardous spills is thrown into garbage receptacles.

Handicapped Accessibility
Workplace Safety

Workplace safety is always a risk. Exposed high voltage controls, guards removed from hydraulically controlled, fast moving equipment, oil spills in walkways, material for production always on floors causing slippery surfaces, the list goes on and on. Each month a “Safety News Letter” is circulated which each employee is required to sign stipulating you have watched training videos or received adequate instruction concerning different safety issues.

Overall compensation for your work

Those that have professional skills are compensated when they first hire on, after that there aren’t any salary increases or performance evaluations. Benefits are at a minimum, high Heath Insurance premiums with very little coverage and extremely high co-pays. Production workers are paid just above minimum wage. Most anything that would come from managements pockets to help their employees, stays.

Job Security

Job stability is always a question, not because of the economy; but because someone wants more than what management is willing to provide.
