I bent the crap out my tool trying to get the bowl unstuck after 20+ years. It’s going to take some work to clean this bad boy up but will post some before and afters hahaha.
Got a nice chunky bud of Gelato saved for when it’s cleaned up nice.
Yeah I just dunked it in some 91%, going to take a bit I think haha.
Took some pre clean shots. She’s a bit nasty hahaha. Has seen some use, was my travel piece for Dead shows back in the late 80s and early 90s.
hahaha. yeah, not dunk. I put a little something under the stem to angle it down toward the bowl and just pour a bit in the bowl and let it sit. That sucker can get way stuck in there.
Of course, I don’t think I’m used it in two years. pretty much just vape anymore. Or just put the whole thing in ISO but I worry about the little rubber MP tip.
I do still have it. OG model. and I’m keeping it! LOL
There is something called a Mendo Pipe that is very similar and is supposedly from the guy who designed the Proto. Very similar with enough changes, I guess, to get around any proprietary legal issues. dunno though since the PP has been out forever its hard to see how any patent issues could still be in effect.
Yeah I got the mouthpiece off. And it’s angled but the bowl part submerged as it’s funky gunky
I just want to use it once for old times sake and then stash it for another 25 years
